Hey Arpita! I know this might be a cliche question. But can you explain what JRF actually is? What happens after you get JRF or what happens if you qualify NET/JRF even when you are not admitted to a PhD program? How does a Fellowship help us, etc.
To explain it in simple way, if your score is higher u get jRF, you can either pursue PhD with or without jRF but if you get jRF you will be sponsored 5 years by ugc monthly but only if u pursue PhD, if u don’t u won’t be sponsored. If u qualify only net u are eligible for assistant professor or to pursue PhD but ugc won’t sponsor you , the institute wer u want to pursue PhD may or may not sponsor but amount is less. So getting jRF fellowship has more advantages in enrolling PhD,
